I have an odd scenario, and I do not know what’s causing it. I have a site where I cannot seem to add a category. When I bought the site, they had no categories in there. Each time I a add a category in the normal category section of wp-admin, it shows up for a minute, but then disappears. anything that you guys know of that could cause a categories to disappear? Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I am having a real problem with this. When I first set up my blogs I had to opt for the permalink structure ‘post ID’. I want to alter this, or ideally have the ability to select permalinks for a post without the need of changing all of the previous url’s of my posts, which is what takes place when I modify the site wide permalinks. Unfortunately, because I’ve post ID as my permalink structure, altering the web page slug makes no difference to the post url. I know I can modify the site permalinks and then do 301 redirects, but these are fairly established domains with lots of the posts indexed, I Really don’t wish to risk losing their index, or ranking?! Just building a web page and have some images that need resizing. I don’t wish to use the MS image editor that now seems to be part of the MS Office package under the regime on my new Windows 7 laptop or computer – so wonder if anyone knows of a simple non-MS software for re-jigging images ?

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

What is the Easiest way to Backup Websites?! I have been making use of WP DPManager and another plugin. The initial one appears to back up only the content. The second backs up the plugin, theme and photos but everytime there’s an upgrade to WP I’ve to complete something with the .htaccess file and I cant remember what I did!! So how are you backing up your sites? Do you back up just content or pictures plug in theme and so on?. What do you feel could be the best way to do it?
